Arturo Lemus Beltrán

Arturo Lemus Beltrán (Chimalhuacán, State of Mexico, 1978) is a painter whose work explores the tensions between the human, the social, and the posthuman, developing a visual language rich in symbolism and contemporary reflection..

He began his training at the Centro Cultural Fábrica de Artes y Oficios (FARO de Oriente), where he consolidated his path in painting. He later received a scholarship to study Art History at Casa Lamm Cultural Center, completing his studies in 2010 and expanding his critical and aesthetic perspective.

With more than two decades of experience, Lemus Beltrán has participated in over 100 group exhibitions in museums, universities, and cultural forums in Mexico and abroad. His work has been presented in countries such as Canada, Cuba, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Germany, and he has also collaborated closely with Japanese cultural associations.

Among his most notable exhibitions are shows at the José Lezama Lima Museum (Cuba), The Tallantyre Gallery (United Kingdom), Miami Art Fair, Guía Leonardo in Madrid, the Watercolor Museum in Toluca, the Mexican Space Agency, the UNAM Geology Museum, as well as international fairs such as Art Parade (Germany) and The Beauty of Horror (Leipzig, Germany).

His career has been recognized by institutions such as UNESCO (Caracas, 2018), and he has taken part in significant cultural, academic, and social projects.

He is currently a member of the artist organization “Superficie”, from where he continues to develop projects that bring together painting, philosophy, science, and the human condition.
