The mind awaits

Oil on canvas 30 x 50 cm

The Mind Awaits” presents a reclining female figure in a misty, almost dreamlike landscape, where the shapes of enormous stone faces emerge and fade within the haze. Her nakedness does not convey vulnerability but rather a primordial, essential state, as if she were positioned at the threshold between matter and thought.

The woman holds a golden orb etched with circuits, a symbol of latent knowledge, ancestral technology, or encoded memory. Her posture—guarded and contained—suggests that she is protecting something not yet meant to be revealed: a secret, an awakening, or a truth lying in repose. The crown of metallic leaves she wears fuses the vegetal with the artificial, reaffirming the hybrid identity of the character.

Meanwhile, the massive faces carved into the rocks seem to observe the moment like silent entities representing collective consciousness, history, or the minds that have waited before her. The grayish atmosphere envelops the scene in an eternal pause, as if time itself had ceased in order to wait alongside her.

The piece evokes the tension between evolution, introspection, and destiny: the mind may remain hidden, but its awakening is inevitable.
